Michael has a unique style in which he begins his paintings as simple abstract sketches with only basic shapes. He then outlines these shapes in black paint and uses a pallet of strong primary colors and special brush techniques to bring the images to life. The underlying black outlines remain in the subconscious giving his work more than one layer of meaning. As we hurtle through this complex life, we often seek simplicity or serenity. Greg Jackson Faberge' Style Egg Collection
In the late 1800's, Faberge' created specially decorated eggs as gifts for the Russian Czar's. Often there was a secret surprise inside the eggs, and the secret was carefully guarded before the egg was presented. Over 50 Imperial eggs were made, but only 40 or so have been recovered over the years. Artist Greg Jackson from Rocky River carries on this art today. Using eggs from Emu, Ostrich, Chicken and Quail, he creates many delicate treasures that tickle the imagination.
